Jim has developed a nationwide personal network database of over 4500 contacts of individuals, companies and referral sources, through long-term affiliations and Board positions in the business community. Jim was President of the Commercial Finance Association – Midwest Chapter and is currently serving as both the Treasurer for The Turnaround Management Association Chicago Chapter and as the Director of the Association for Corporate Growth.
Throughout his banking and M&A career, Jim has been responsible for the funding of over 200 transactions, offering strong expertise in structuring, negotiating and closing debt and equity placements, for middle market companies. Jim has key relationships with senior officers of over 50 lending sources, which assures a competitive debt or equity placement and prompt attention to our clients’ requests.
Prior to forming and joining Impact Capital, Jim was Midwest Regional Manager/Senior Vice President of the CIT Group/Business Credit, a $3.5 billion finance company. Jim managed a portfolio of over $750 million and was responsible for over $350 million of debt placements between 1999 and 2000. In this capacity, he managed a staff of 65 employees. This experience allows Jim the ability to quickly size up a debt or equity placement and find the appropriate source of capital or debt to shore up the balance sheet.
Jim is a graduate of Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance and Master of Business Administration Degree in Finance. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Jim lives in Chicago, IL and he enjoys travel and a vast array of sports.
